This application requires Java 5 (aka JDK 1.5) or later, but Java 6 (JDK 1.6) is highly recommended

Change of filenames:

Starting with build 99, the jar file has been renamed to sqlworkbench.jar, the Windows launcher has been renamed to SQLWorkbench.exe and the (main) shell script has been renamed to sqlworkbench.sh.

Please delete the old files jworkbench.exe, Workbench.jar and jworkbench.sh

Please make sure to use the new launcher files from the release package!
(SQLWorkbench.exe, DataPumper.exe, DbExplorer.exe, sqlworkbench.sh)

Development build

A development build is generated while testing and implementing new features for the next stable build. In general these builds are pretty stable and I am using them on a daily basis myself.
